Magazine Fort, Phoenix Park.
Magazine Fort, Phoenix Park.

The Magazine Fort with its various upright chimneys, looks well in Silhouette most days, but what adds to this photograph is the very unusual cloud shape that just hangs above it - filling the sky space nicely.

Normally, photographers try to level the horizon to make it easier on the eye. My view point was below Thomas Hill where the Fort is located, so I thought that this is really the typical view any passer-by would naturally see. So I decided to leave the incline of the hill in the shot - sometimes the compositional rules have to be broken - forget the photography police!
