Enraptured...

Trish Hutton from Carlow, playing a 5 string fiddle, just seemed enraptured by the lovely sounds coming from both instruments - the other fiddle being played by Breton musician Youenn Bothorel. It can't have been too comfortable for the pair of them, sitting and playing on bar stools, but they didn't seem too bothered.

I asked for permission to take a few photographs and Trish kindly nodded that it was OK. This was a really relaxing & quiet session, and as I sat there taking a few shots, I enjoyed a nice pint too. Up to that point the light in the Ennis bars was anything but useful from a photographic point of view...

The bar, known both as Fawls or the Railway Bar, is quite neat and at that time there was only myself and one other person present. We were an audience of only two - how lucky were we?

[Thanks to Eimer Casey for identifying the musicians!]
