Papal Cross, Phoenix Park.
Papal Cross, Phoenix Park.

After knocking a slíotar around in the Park with Siún, the sun was conveniently setting as we begun to leave for home. This time there was no usual chorus of "ah Da, you've loads of Sunsets!" so I took a few minutes to capture the lovely colours at the day's end.

My vantage point was behind the car on the drivers side. The out of focus reflection from the car roof gave the foreground the appearance of water. Anybody who knows the 15 acres knows that there is no water in front of the Papal Cross, but this helpful mirage added something extra to the tranquility of the scene. Thankfully, this time, I had the car washed a few days earlier!
