I was sitting opposite this man when I took took his photo- just liked the light and his shape. Got greedy and took a few more when he noticed me. He turned and I took another. I was caught so I showed him the photos. He asked me to email them so I agreed. It was only when he wrote his email address that I proffered "Are you Colm O' Cinnseala?" to which he said "Yes, and who are you? "I'm Colm Keating - we met about 20 years ago at a wedding in Dublin!" "Ah yes, How are ya Colm..." and we spent the rest of the night til 5am updating one another of our lives since then. Just magic - with the passing of the years, and our heads turning grey, we didn't recognise each other. If I didn't take that photo we'd be strangers today...as the latin scholars say Carpe Diem...Seize the Day!
